Organise a dog walking bag by frequency of use: poo bags and treats within easy reach, water accessible at stops, and clean-up items protected until the return. Give your phone and keys their own secure space instead of letting them disappear among the dog equipment.

The aim is to find one item without unpacking five others. You can usually improve an existing bag before deciding whether you need a new one. Start by emptying it onto a table and separating the things you use from the things that have simply accumulated.

Give every pocket one job

Choose a consistent home for each small essential. A zipped pocket can hold keys; a separate closed container can hold treats; an accessible dispenser can carry unused poo bags. Keep those positions the same from one walk to the next.

Avoid filling every pocket just because it exists. An overfilled outside pocket can make its contents difficult to retrieve, while loose items in a deep main compartment tend to settle at the bottom. Leave enough room to put things back with ordinary, unhurried movements.
